We understand the impact that domestic abuse and displacement can have on children. That’s why we offer specialist support for children and young people living in TDAS accommodation, designed to promote emotional wellbeing, resilience and safety.

Children are supported to feel safe, settled and seen — and to know that what happened was never their fault.

What’s provided?

  • One-to-one emotional support for children
  • Play sessions, therapeutic activities and family bonding exercises
  • Support with understanding and expressing emotions
  • Help with routines, behaviour and transitions
  • Guidance and parenting support for the non-abusive parent
  • Support finding school or nursery placements
  • Group programmes such as R’Space© for children who’ve witnessed abuse
  • Weekly art therapy sessions for children and young people
  • Fun and enriching activities during school holidays, including trips and special events

How to access support

You can be referred by a professional (e.g. GP, housing officer, social worker) or you can contact us directly to discuss whether the service is right for you.

You don’t have to go through this alone – our team is here to help you feel safe, supported and heard.

If you think you are experiencing domestic abuse, contact us for support and talk to a domestic abuse advisor at TDAS.
