Our Family Support Service helps non-abusive parents and children rebuild their relationship following domestic abuse. We understand that abuse can damage trust, communication and emotional connection — and that healing takes time, patience, and support.

We offer a combination of:

  • 1:1 sessions with the parent
  • 1:1 sessions with the child
  • Joint family sessions that rebuild emotional connection, confidence and mutual understanding

How can this help?

  • Supports families in understanding the impact of domestic abuse on parenting and relationships
  • Builds communication skills and emotional literacy
  • Strengthens family identity and safety
  • Helps families adjust to new circumstances (e.g. housing, schooling, family structure)
  • Support is available for families with children up to age 16.

How to access support

You can be referred by a professional (e.g. GP, housing officer, social worker) or you can contact us directly to discuss whether the service is right for you.

You don’t have to go through this alone – our team is here to help you feel safe, supported and heard.

If you think you are experiencing domestic abuse, contact us for support and talk to a domestic abuse advisor at TDAS.
