TDAS offers a range of Specialist Services designed to support individuals and families whose experiences of domestic abuse are compounded by additional needs, barriers, or vulnerabilities. These services are trauma-informed, flexible, and delivered through strong multi-agency partnerships to ensure that no survivor is left behind.

Our Specialist Services are built around the principle of meeting people where they are, recognising that safety and recovery look different for everyone.

Homelessness / Move-On Service

A dedicated service to support individuals who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless as a result of domestic abuse, and to offer advice and guidance to housing professionals.

Our Homelessness Move On Domestic Abuse Advisor (MODAA) provides a specialist one to one trauma-informed support service, providing the interventions needed to prevent people from becoming homeless or to help them access and settle in to new safe accommodation where needed. Although the MODAA’s focus is housing, individuals are also supported to overcome any other issues and barriers they might be facing. They are informed, encouraged and empowered so they feel able to make the positive choices and changes needed to move forward from the abuse they have experienced.

The Reach Project

The REACH project was specifically designed to reach the most marginalised survivors with multiple disadvantage who need specialist support to break free from domestic abuse.

Young Person’s Domestic Abuse Advisor (YPDA)

Our Young Persons Domestic Abuse Advisor (YPDA) supports young people who are experiencing the traumatic effects of domestic abuse. The YPDA will support young people to improve their understanding of domestic abuse, and improve their confidence and resilience to prevent them becoming adult victims of domestic abuse.

Legal Surgeries

We offer access to legal surgeries in partnership with specialist solicitors, providing free initial advice to help you understand your options. We can offer a 30 minute appointment to explore your situation, ask questions, and receive guidance in a safe and supportive environment.

You can be referred by a professional (e.g. GP, housing officer, social worker) or you can contact us directly to discuss whether the service is right for you.
