Our Domestic Abuse Surgeries offer a safe and private space for individuals experiencing domestic abuse to speak with a trained professional. These one-to-one sessions are designed to provide information, advice and practical support.

Sessions are delivered by experienced Domestic Abuse Advisors, who understand how difficult it can be to take that first step. You will be listened to, believed and supported – at your own pace and without pressure.

What to expect

  • A confidential and welcoming environment
  • Time and space to talk through your experiences or concerns
  • A trained Advisor who can help you understand your situation and explore your options
  • Support with risk assessment, safety planning, housing options, safeguarding, and legal issues
  • Signposting to further support if and when you’re ready
  • No obligation to take any further action — you are in control

Where these sessions take place

Domestic Abuse Surgeries are available across various Trafford community settings, including:

  • GP surgeries
  • Health centres
  • Community hubs
  • Our own TDAS offices

We aim to offer sessions in locations that are familiar, discreet, and easy to access.

“We are committed to providing women-only spaces; however, please note that our office is located within a shared building, and while access to our private office areas is restricted, the overall premises may not be women-only.”
