TDAS volunteers play an integral role in the delivery of our services. They strengthen our work by offering help and support to survivors of domestic abuse and without them we would not be able to provide the level of support we do to the people who need us.

Our positions

Volunteer Playworker – Refuge

To support children and young people (CYP) and their families living within refuge, helping to create a safe, engaging and supportive environment that promotes wellbeing, development, and positive family relationships.

Court Support Volunteer

To provide emotional and practical support to service users attending court proceedings, particularly in family and civil courts, in a non-legal capacity. The volunteer will act in a “McKenzie Friend” type role, helping individuals feel more confident, prepared, and supported throughout the court process.

Volunteer Adult Group Programme Support Worker

To support the delivery of our adult group programmes, which are designed to help individuals learn about and recover from the impact of domestic abuse, rebuild confidence and develop healthier coping strategies.

R’Space Delivery Support Volunteer

Support the delivery of RSpace. A programme for children/young people impacted by DA. RSpace provides opportunities for children to explore the effects of domestic abuse and varied topics relating to this in a safe and activity-based environment.
